Put Food in the Budget is organizing to win an immediate $100 healthy food supplement for every recipient and a process of setting social assistance rates that ensures people can live healthy and dignified lives. The campaign also supports organizing around the special diet.

Toronto Public Health flu clinics have begun

Free flu shots are now available at Toronto Public Health clinics across the city. A total of 64 clinics will operate at 42 locations between October 28 and mid-January.

New G 20 Public Hearings Announced

The Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA) and the National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) will hold public hearings next week into the unlawful police activities during the G20 Summit. The hearings will take place November 10 & 11 at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto, and November 12 at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth hotel in Montreal. Individuals or organizations impacted by or who observed any of the unlawful police activities during the G20 Summit are encouraged to contact CCLA or NUPGE to arrange to make a presentation. A report on the public hearings which will be released in January 2011.

Ashbridge's Bay Storage Facility – Environmental Report

The Project – The City of Toronto and the Toronto Transit Commission have completed an Environmental Project Report in accordance with Ontario Regulation 231/08 for the Ashbridges Bay Maintenance and Storage Facility for New Streetcars and Leslie Street Connecting Tracks Project.
