Mosaic Storytelling Festival tales from around the world six Sundays of stories for ages 5 to 95 every second Sunday from Jan. 23 to Apr. 3 at 3 pm in St. David’s parish hall 49 Donlands Avenue. The Open Door East End Arts Collective and St. David’s Anglican Church celebrate the diversity and creativity of our rich East End neighbourhood – and our world – through six afternoons of storytelling with tellers and tales from all across the globe.
The TTC is putting on four public meetings next week to discuss proposed route changes and cuts. The dates and locations are as follows: SOUTH: Monday, January 24, 2011; NORTH: Tuesday, January 25, 2011; EAST: Wednesday, January 26, 2011;
WEST: Thursday, January 27, 2011
Toronto Hydro is in the process of upgrading the electrical system. The affected streets of this project are Alton Avenue, Badgerow Avenue, Curzom Street, Dagmar Avenue, Dundas Street East, Gerrard Street, Greenwood Avenue, Hiltz Avenue, Jones Avenue, Leslie Street, Mallon Avenue and Pape Avenue.
The construction will begin mid January 2011 and is tentative to be completed by late September 2011. All work of this project will take place on City property. Additionally, during the duration of the work, parking lanes will be occupied by Toronto Hydro workers which will reduce traffic to single lanes in each direction. They will do their best to minimize inconveniences during the construction.
