Compost and Clean Ups

Over the next few weeks, Ward 30 is host to a number of clean up events.  These events are a terrific way to connect with your neighbours and help beautify the communities we love.  Check below for information on your local clean up date and location.   If you know of any other clean up events in the neighbourhood, please email [email protected] to be added to the list.

Councillor Fletcher has also arranged for compost to be dropped off at several parks this season.  Read the following listings for information on when free compost will be available at Withrow Park, Monarch Park, and Greenwood Park.

April 15

Ralph Thornton Centre & Riverside District 20 minute Clean Up When: April 15, 4:30pm Where: Meet in front of St. John's the Compassionate at 765 Broadview Avenue.

April 16

Withrow Park Clean Up & Compost Day When: April 16, 8am-12pm Where: Withrow Park Compost is available at the north end of the Park (McConnell and Fenwick Ave), at 8am.

Phin Park Clean Up When: April 16, 10am Where: Phin Avenue Park

Rivertowne Spring Clean Up When: April 16, 10am-12pm Where: Meet in front of 50 Matilda (between Carroll and Munro)

Cherry Beach Clean Up When: April 16, 11am-2pm Where: Cherry Beach Dog Off Leash Park

April 30

Greenwood Park Spring Event with Compost When: April 30, 9am-2pm Where: Greenwood Park Compost will be available

May 7

Free Compost at Monarch Park When: May 7, 8am

May 21

First Day of Withrow Park Farmer's Market and Free Compost at Withrow Park Where: Withrow Park (Compost available at the north end of the park) When: May 21, 8am Free Compost Available
