Gas Services Being Moved to New Gas Main
Enbridge Gas is nearing completion of the construction work to upgrade the natural gas distribution system at Eastern & Broadview. The new main and new underground service lines to individual properties have been installed.
The last step involves shutting down and disconnecting the old gas main, and switching all customers over to the new gas main. Embridge will require access to your home or business to complete this portion of the work.
The work that they need to do at your home or business involves removing the old indoor pipe and meter, hanging a new meter outdoors, connecting the meter to the new service line and relighting your equipment. Link-Line and Lakeside Gas will be doing this work, on behalf of Enbridge Gas Distribution, which will take a minimum of two hours to complete at each household.
They will have a number of fitters in the area but due to the complexity of this work, we cannot guarantee an exact time that theywill be at your home.
If access to your home or business is not available on a given date, we will come out to complete the work and restore your service as soon as you return home. They will respond as quickly as possible to minimize the inconvenience to you.
