Businesses

A Business Improvement Area (BIA) is an association of local business people and property owners who work in partnership with the City to enhance their business district. A BIA provides for a self-imposed assessment on commercial property to be raised within a specified geographic area. The proceeds from the assessment are used to provide services that benefit the district. Click here to read more about Toronto’s BIA programs.
