The City of Toronto is helping our neighbourhood become a Solar Neighbourhood.
Working with Toronto Atmospheric Fund, Toronto Energy Efficiency Office, Toronto Environment Office and Toronto Hydro we have started the Solar Neighbourhoods program to install solar hot water systems in Ward 30 residences. This groundbreaking pilot project is the only one in the City and will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve local air quality. The funds, in part provided by provincially mandated funding from the Portlands Energy Centre will provide grants and interest free loans to interested residents.
